Tousei-Gusoku

The Toudei-Gusoku is one of the most unique and varied of the armor types in this article. The Toudei-Gusoku developed from the more form fitting Do-maru and Haramaki styles, being laced under the right arm. Other advances where came in the form of a more European looking armor, this is not to say that the armor was coping the European armors but it was a logical step. On the other hand there are quite a few examples of European armor being modified for Japanese use. Anyway the changes from the O-Yoroi to the Toudei-Gusoku can in many forms like:

A more form fitting armor with straps on the hips and a belt to help soften the weight. More Full covering armor with leg and knee armor, Arm guards on both arms not just one. The main parts of the armor where made with greatly varied materials from cloth to metal depending on the smiths styles and availability of materials. Below are a few different styles of Tousei-Gusoku.
